Balloon Face
Last Sunday we continued Missions Month by having everyone create their own “Wilson” to highlight the isolation, loneliness, and stress missionaries often face. In the movie Cast Away the main character creates an imaginary friend from a volley ball as a way to cope with his isolation. We had some impressive creations but when a few of them started to look like me, bald spot and all, I think it started to get a little carried away. I can take it though.
This coming Sunday we will be holding our Jenga Tower Championship so come prepared to build your tower. We also have a full week of activities with Men’s Group on Monday night, Financial Peace University on Tuesday, Kid’s Club and the ZUB Prayer Team meeting on Wednesday (and don’t forget worship team practice), the Esther Bible Study on Thursday, and the Community Men’s Lenten Breakfast on Saturday. Whew! Sounds like a fun week ahead. God Bless.
